Weeknotes October 28

I’ve written another flash piece. It’s been a few weeks now that I’ve consistently managed to finish one. So, huzzah. This one also has a bit of action taking place, much like last week’s did.

I’ve put up the first of my flash pieces. You can read it here. It’s an oldish one of mine now, from last year, about libraries and ageing, and maybe living on one’s own and still enjoying life and learning. I’d like to get it out there.

It’s been a low word count week, unfortunately. I only wrote 200 words outside of the flash piece. 

I’ve started reading the the audio book of the Martian, by Andy Weir. That’s been a lot of fun, almost a hard science “murder mystery”, where the murder whose details we delve in to is how to get the protagonist off of Mars. Sarah’s been overhearing it in the mornings while I listen and make food and exercise, and she’s become enthralled. The novel’s publication history is interesting and inspiring. 

I’ve also started reading the Bone Witch, by Rin Chupeco. It’s mostly been fun so far.
