I finished another flash piece today. This one is quite personal, and maybe I should share it with my sister to see how she relates to it. But I now have a bit of a backlog of pieces built up, so maybe next week I’ll begin to regularly post them online.
I’ve also started a spreadsheet of finished pieces that I have, to keep track of them. Once that was done, I discovered an older spreadsheet from two years ago where I’d done the same thing — hopefully more comes of this one!
Short story progress this week: 980 words.
I finished off Fall of Hyperion, by Dan Simmons. It was fun. This story really stuck with me when I’d read it for the first time in the 90s. I’m not sure that would have happened now if I was reading it for the first time, but it remains interesting.
It by Stephen King was my next audio book. But it turns out that I’m not in the mood to read stories where every character is a bigot and is casually shit with their friends. I’m moving on.
