It’s been a while. My work / life balance has been very out of whack — I’ve been putting in a lot of unnecessary after hour work that no one was asking for or relying on or expecting to be done.
Writing took a back seat to everything else.
I often find myself thinking, “Just one more hour and these visualisation tools I’m working on would be so much better.” But now I’m trying to make a concerted effort to use my after hour time for writing instead of on work. I’ll have “just one more hour” in the office to get done what needs to get done.
So far this week I’ve written 803 words on a story about maps and map-makers, golems and dead things. Let’s see how it progresses.
